Therapeutic Modality
Paraffin Wax Therapy
Soothing deep heat for stiff, painful joints.

What is paraffin wax therapy?
Paraffin wax therapy uses a bath of warm, melted wax to wrap the hands, wrists, elbows, or feet in gentle, even heat. The wax holds heat longer than a hot pack and conforms to every joint, increasing circulation, relaxing tight tissue, and softening the skin. We often use it before hands-on therapy and exercise so stiff joints move more comfortably.
Benefits
- Relieves joint stiffness and aching
- Increases blood flow to the area
- Relaxes tight muscles and tendons
- Prepares joints for mobility work and exercise
